Agree the Cut Layout Before Resizing Ice Sheets
A sheet that looks too wide for one wall of an insulated box does not automatically need a new factory size. First identify the existing sheet and ask whether its approved divisions can produce the intended retained layout. The purchasing decision is the shape you need to keep, linked to the exact sample’s permitted lines.

Start with the existing whole sheet
YUANEN’s segmented ice-sheet page describes separate coolant cells and requires confirmation of preparation instructions and any approved cutting lines. Current customization is printing on existing sizes, without size changes. The catalogue’s grid therefore provides a reference for an enquiry; it does not approve every smaller shape a buyer can draw on it.
Use a photo or drawing of the exact offered full sheet, with one orientation kept throughout the discussion. Mark which cells should remain together and which area would be unused. A visible pale gap, printed separator or catalogue photo cannot replace the supplier’s confirmation for that particular sample.
| Record field | Buyer marks or describes | Supplier confirms for this sample |
|---|---|---|
| Original sheet | Existing specification, full outline and orientation | Matching sample reference and cell arrangement |
| Cells to retain | Clearly shaded group and intended outside shape | Whether that group is permitted and remains intact |
| Proposed separation | Proposed boundary between kept and unused cells | Exact permitted joining bands and written restrictions |
| Preparation and placement | Intended pack-out location, orientation and available space | Applicable preparation stage and resulting sample dimensions |
Describe the retained shape before discussing a cut
For example, if the proposed location is a narrow side-wall space, send the available space and desired orientation with a shaded group on the full-sheet drawing. Ask whether that group can be retained using permitted divisions. Do not turn the example into a fixed number of cells, a cutting instruction or a promised new stock size. Leave unsupported layouts unresolved.
The supplier’s response should identify the permitted boundary on the same reference, including any joining-band restrictions needed to keep the retained cells sealed. Do not open a filled cell. If the requested shape would cross a cell or lacks written confirmation, keep the sheet intact while seeking a suitable existing layout or another packing arrangement.
Keep the preparation stage with the layout record
Ask which preparation stage applies to any permitted separation and which instructions govern the resulting piece. Do not infer from a dry catalogue image that the same handling is authorized after absorption or freezing. This guide gives no soak time, freezing time, cutting tool or cutting sequence. Those details remain specific to the selected sample’s instructions.
Record the resulting sample’s outside dimensions in the state relevant to packing, then review its intended location with the actual contents and insulated container. Fit of a retained group does not establish the required coolant amount or a cooling duration. A change in layout still needs evaluation of the complete intended pack-out.
Attach the agreed reference to the enquiry
Send YUANEN the existing sheet specification, sample reference, shaded retained group, intended placement, preparation questions, quantity and printing needs. Ask for a clear response on what is permitted. Keep the confirmed layout separate from the order-unit record; the existing sheets-versus-cells guide handles quantity definitions without silently changing the supplied specification.
The cover shows an intact generic twelve-cell sheet only. Its visible joining bands do not mark approved cutting lines or establish prepared dimensions. This purchasing reference is not a test report, certification or performance rating.
