Confirm the Storage and Use Window for Self-Seal Bags
An order intended for use over several months needs a date question as well as a quantity question. Ask the finished-bag supplier which storage and use window applies to the specified bag, how it starts and whether it covers your planned withdrawals. A receiving date alone does not answer those questions.

Ask about the finished bag and its batch
YUANEN’s flat self-adhesive foil bag combines a foil-facing and EPE foam structure, heat-sealed edges and a peel-and-seal flap. Its sample and order define the layer and adhesive arrangement. Ask the supplier to link the finished version, batch identifier and relevant material references before assigning a use window. Do not infer the adhesive supplier or production date from the silver face.
Match the date basis to planned withdrawals
Ask which event starts the stated period and what document supports that answer. If a supplier’s date uses an adhesive-material batch while your inventory uses finished-bag receipts, request the link between those records. Do not restart the period at receipt, split delivery or carton opening unless the actual supplier’s written instruction permits that interpretation.
- Record for each batch: finished-bag version ___; batch reference ___; date basis and source ___; stated storage/use period ___; receipt date ___; planned withdrawal dates ___. Keep unconfirmed fields open.
- Record the required storage conditions, original-packaging or opened-carton status, instruction version and any observed departure. These fields ask for the supplier’s conditions; they do not prescribe universal temperature, humidity or stacking limits.
Resolve an uncovered use date before release
Compare the planned withdrawal dates with the confirmed window and its conditions. If a date falls outside that window, or storage conditions were unknown or departed from instructions, identify the affected stock for supplier review. Ask the actual supplier how to assess representative bags and which closure checks and acceptance criteria are needed before use. Do not extend a period based on a good-looking sample.
Keep the decision, scope, responsible person and written reference with that batch. A product shelf life and the bag’s storage/use period are different records. Neither an intact release strip nor a smooth foil face demonstrates continued closure performance, food freshness or temperature retention.
Use the answer to plan the order
Send YUANEN the intended bag specification, total quantity, destination, receiving plan, storage arrangement and staged withdrawal dates. Ask whether the proposed supply schedule fits the written use window or needs a different agreed delivery arrangement. Confirm sampling, quantity and commercial terms against the order; this guide sets no universal expiry period or ageing method.
