Solidus Names Its Fibre-Based MAP Tray Range Futurline Heat&Eat

In a Solidus-sponsored announcement published by Packaging Europe on 2 November 2026, the company introduced Futurline Heat&Eat as a new name for its fibre-based modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) tray range. Solidus describes the range for ready meals and for microwave, oven and air-fryer applications. The announcement establishes the company’s presentation of the range; it is not an independent product test.

Confirm the actual tray-and-film combination

Solidus’s official product page identifies a solid-board tray with a barrier lining. That description is more specific than “paper tray”, but it does not define every lidding film or operating condition a buyer may need. Request the exact proposed product reference and specification. The announcement date should not be read as a disclosed first-production or first-delivery date.

Keep three sets of purchasing records matched

Use the proposed pack reference across the following requests. Treat unanswered items as open questions for the responsible supplier, rather than infer compatibility from the fibre-based appearance or the range name.

  • Pack specification: identify the tray, barrier lining and proposed lidding film, with the food and storage application each document covers.
  • Heating instructions: request instructions for the selected pack and appliance, including the stated conditions and what to do with the lid. A tray-range description does not approve every film for heating.
  • Sealing trial: give the tray supplier and packing team the proposed film and equipment references; agree the sample trial, acceptance method and record required for that combination.

Keep delivery packaging and end-of-use decisions separate

If an insulated outer carrier is also required, specify it separately from the MAP food-contact tray and check the complete delivery arrangement under the buyer’s required conditions. No YUANEN bag is represented here as the tray supplier’s product or as suitable for heating. Ask separately how the selected packaging components should be separated and handled at the destination; this article makes no universal recycling, compliance or thermal-duration claim.
