Check Horizontal Tray Access Before Ordering an Insulated Catering Bag
A tray may fit inside a bag but still be difficult to insert without tilting. YUANEN’s current catering carrier proposal has a navy non-woven outer layer, aluminum foil lining, a fold-down front panel and short side grips. That format makes the entry path a separate purchasing question from internal volume. Use the actual lidded trays to agree a sample, not a nominal tray designation alone.

Measure the lid and rim as one package
Measure the greatest outside length and width with the lid fitted, including rolled edges, clips or raised corners. Record the filled height separately from the tray body height. If several suppliers supply the same nominal tray format, compare their actual outer envelopes before treating them as interchangeable.
- Enquiry record: tray reference ___; lid reference ___; maximum closed length × width × height ___; filled weight ___; proposed loading arrangement ___; units ___.
Test the horizontal entry path
Fully open the front zipper and place the bag on a stable surface. Move the lidded tray horizontally through the opening, observing the rim, zipper corners and liner folds. Then remove it using the grip your staff would use. Usable inside width does not prove that the narrower opening or a seam allows that movement.
- Stop if the lid must be lifted, a rim must be forced past the zipper or fingers have no safe grip. Record the contact point and photograph the loading direction before requesting a revision.
- A folded-down front panel is an access flap, not a confirmed load-bearing ramp. Keep the tray supported by the work surface and hands unless a different support arrangement is specified and tested.
Check removal as well as loading
If the order requires a stack, try removing the intended tray while the others remain in place. Check whether the remaining trays shift and whether a lid catches the tray above it. Do not infer that shelves or dividers are supplied: they are not specified in the current proposal. Any additional support belongs in the written custom specification.
- Record the planned sequence: first tray removed ___; remaining load movement ___; lid contact ___; hand access ___; required revision ___.
Agree the loaded support before approval
With the agreed sample load, inspect the base, seams and short side-grip attachments during controlled two-handed handling. Record sagging or sliding rather than estimating a load rating from the illustration. Send the tray records, loading photos, sample revision, required material layers, quantity and destination to YUANEN for a quotation and sample specification. Fit approval does not establish food temperature performance; that needs a separate test of the complete load and relevant route conditions.
