Match Print-Colour Approval to the Bag Substrate
A colour number and an artwork file do not, by themselves, define the colour a buyer will accept on a finished insulated bag. Before confirming a branded order, link the agreed physical reference to the exact bag surface and the printed sample actually reviewed. Keep the reference, substrate and proof under one traceable record.

Identify the reference precisely
Record the colour-reference system, edition or version, physical sample identifier and the particular colour being requested. State whether the reference is on coated or uncoated paper or on another material when relevant. Agree which physical reference the buyer and supplier will compare; a colour name or an unlabelled screenshot leaves that decision open.
Keep the bag surface with the proof
YUANEN’s current catering-carrier proposal uses a navy non-woven exterior, aluminum foil lining, a fold-down front opening and short side grips. For printing, identify the exact exterior panel and material version, including its base colour and surface texture. Printing artwork and process remain subject to supplier confirmation.
Ask which proposed print process and representative substrate can be used for a sample, and whether that sample represents the intended order process. If a different fabric colour, finish or sample method is used, record the difference rather than treat the result as approval of the finished bag. Do not assume that a particular ink, underbase or proof service is available.
Complete a colour-evidence record
Review the actual printed sample against the agreed reference under viewing conditions that both parties identify. Record who reviewed it, the result and any unresolved point. If instrumental measurement is needed, agree the method, settings, reporting basis and acceptance criteria with the responsible parties; this guide sets no universal threshold.
- Reference: system/version ___; physical reference ID ___; colour ___; holder of the agreed reference ___.
- Substrate and process: bag/panel ___; material version/base colour/texture ___; proposed print process ___; representative or differing sample method ___.
- Proof and decision: printed sample ID/date ___; viewing conditions ___; reviewers ___; accepted scope ___; open items ___; further production evidence needed ___.
Carry the limited decision into the order
Send YUANEN the artwork revision, physical reference identification, substrate version and proof record. Confirm the available sample arrangement and the colour scope in writing. A later material or process change should identify the affected proof decision for review. Colour acceptance does not approve every production feature or establish a delivery date, price or minimum quantity.
Use the existing label-placement guide for visibility and the design-sample guide for broader approval scope. This guide concerns colour evidence. The cover’s loose cards and unprinted carrier are visual props, not a colour standard, printed proof, supplied accessory or evidence of an exact colour match.
