Size a Pallet Cover for the Load and the Fitting Space
A five-sided insulated pallet cover has to fit the wrapped load and be possible to lower into place. Start with the maximum width and depth after wrapping and the height above the pallet deck. Then check the actual fitting location. A cover that fits once seated can still be awkward to install under a low obstruction or above a protruding corner.

Send the envelope of the wrapped load
Measure the stable load in its shipping condition. Record the widest and deepest points even when they occur at different levels. Include wrapping folds, corner protection and carton overhang if they remain on the load. Mark those points on a photo or sketch and state the units. A pallet deck measurement describes the support, so it can miss the places that the cover must pass over first.
YUANEN specifies the usable inner dimensions and the fitting allowance separately from the load measurements. Ask for a finished-cover drawing that makes that distinction and shows the top and corner seams. If a quote uses flat-film width or outside dimensions, request the corresponding clear inside dimensions before comparing sizes. A flat sleeve’s sizing convention cannot simply be transferred to a hood assembled from panels.
Check the space above the load separately
The cover opens at the bottom and is lowered over the load. At the proposed fitting point, identify the obstruction above the load and the space needed to unfold and align the sample without dragging it over a sharp corner. Try the fit at the actual work position, including the intended approach and removal. Extra room inside the cover will not move an overhead obstruction. If the cover fits on the load but cannot be handled at the bay, change the fitting location or review a different access design before ordering.
Approve where the lower edge lands
Measure covered height from the pallet deck and check the installed lower edge against the fork openings. Photograph the edge after fitting. If it hangs into an opening, send that photo and the deck reference back for a revised drop, then repeat the fit. Do not extend the quoted height to the floor just to describe the total unit: the pallet height and the cover drop serve different purposes.
Approve the fit against a named load and sample revision. The pictured five-sided configuration has an open bottom and no access door or securing straps. Keep required refrigeration and load restraint in the process. A fitting check establishes access and clearance under the checked setup. Thermal performance still depends on the complete load and route.
