A revised closure needs an identifiable pair
For a buyer considering the update, ask the container supplier to identify the offered base, matching lid and revision together. Keep the corresponding sample, specification and order line linked. Do not mix earlier and revised lids or bases on the assumption that a shared range name proves compatibility. An improved-leak-resistance statement is not a universal leakproof guarantee.
Record whether the current quotation supplies a matched set or separate components, and ask for the intended-use instructions and relevant evidence for that set. Leave unresolved compatibility or use conditions pending supplier confirmation. There is no basis here to assign a temperature limit, transport rating or food-protection guarantee to an unverified combination.
Keep the primary container separate from the outer liner

That liner is a separate component; it does not replace the container supplier’s matched-closure evidence.
Once the exact closed container is chosen, provide its filled outside dimensions, intended grouping and actual outer-box reference for the liner enquiry. If the closure revision changes the physical envelope or arrangement, update that reference before assessing the complete packout. Do not assume that a lid update improves the outer liner’s thermal performance or makes the two companies supply partners.
