Lineage Announces Bonded Warehouse Authorization for Its Murcia Cold Store

On 7 September 2026, Lineage announced that its Murcia facility had received Customs Bonded Warehouse authorization, its first in Spain. The company describes storage of temperature-controlled food under customs supervision before release. This is a September announcement, not a facility opening today. For buyers of insulated packaging, it highlights a stage boundary: warehouse storage and the package used after dispatch are different systems.

Read the authorization at its stated scope

The announcement concerns Lineage’s facility and customs-controlled storage service. It is not an approval of YUANEN bags, liners or ice packs, and no commercial relationship with Lineage is claimed here. Ask the responsible logistics provider about current availability, customs procedures and the specific food shipment; this article does not determine duties or eligibility.

Define where the downstream package takes over

As a procurement planning exercise, map the handoff from temperature-controlled storage to picking, packing, loading, onward transport and receipt. For each step, identify who controls the environment and who records a delay. Do not assume that a warehouse’s temperature conditions also apply to a carton waiting on a dispatch bench. Ask the logistics operator to define that exposure before specifying insulation or coolant.

  • Handoff record: storage exit point ___; packing location ___; expected waiting stage ___; transport arrangement ___; receiver ___; responsible party for delays ___.

Fit the liner to the actual carton and load

YUANEN’s foil-insulated box-liner page requires carton dimensions, flap arrangement and coolant space to be considered together. In a sample pack-out, check the carton’s inside envelope, the loaded containers and the liner’s closing path. If coolant is part of the plan, include its conditioned size and placement. A liner that fits an empty carton can still leave insufficient room for the full load or its closure.

  • Confirm the final carton/liner revisions, load layout and closure with a sample. Obtain coolant preparation instructions and validate the complete shipment under relevant conditions; colour or storage authorization is not temperature-performance evidence.

Keep logistics release and packaging approval distinct

Send YUANEN the carton’s inside measurements, food-container envelope, intended liner closure, coolant-space requirement, quantities and destination for a quotation. Keep the logistics provider’s release and handling instructions beside—but separate from—the packaging sample specification. A change to the transport stage, carton or coolant arrangement should trigger a review of the pack-out, not an assumption that the earlier storage authorization validates the change.
